What We Stand For

There are a few basic things we are fighting for in this protest. These are a few principles our government does not follow. If this were a government by the people, for the people, they would reconsider abiding by these few simple ethical guidelines.

1. Before you cut spending on those who can not afford it, cut it for those who can afford it
(I.E. DON'T DEMONIZE PRIVATE CITIZEN'S WELFARE THEN IGNORE CORPORATE WELFARE!)

2. Don't further corporation's political influence in D.C., strengthen ours (we're looking at you, the 9 justices)

3. Invest in the future, don't cut our way into the past

4. Question military spending before questioning education spending

5. Denounce manipulative, politically motivated media outlets who seek only to push an ideology and instead endorse fair, credible, factual, ethical and balanced journalism based on evidence

6. Demand religious tolerance and inclusion of ALL Americans in our political process, not just those who claim to be 'real' Americans

7. Don't keep recycling past failed policies and fight for future corrections in those policies

8. We want a government comprised of political parties that value democracy and collective agreement, meaning mutual sacrifice for the benefit of EVERYONE, and not just a select few, instead of ultimatums and threats based on unsubstantiated 'facts' and opinions.

These simple, basic guidelines are what we wish to see our government not only protect, but advocate. We think these are simple, but fundamental aspects to secure a functional democracy. Without one or all of these, we may as well be an oligarchy, ran by corporations, manipulative media, and the military. We love America and we expect more from our country, our government, and it's citizens. It's time to show D.C. we want justice, compromise, fairness, and above all, democracy
